The Dave Problem · based on a true story

Meet Dave.

Every business has one. The person who actually understands how it all works. He's not on the org chart. Nothing works without him. And he is quietly holding your entire company together with fourteen spreadsheets and a heroic amount of goodwill.

LIVE Exhibit A · the load-bearing human

Who is Dave

You know Dave. You might be Dave.

Dave is the one who knows why the invoice macro breaks on the last Friday of the month, and how to un-break it. Dave remembers the workaround for the workaround. When something goes wrong at 4:50pm, the phrase is never "log a ticket."

He's brilliant. He's also a single point of failure your business has quietly decided to run on. Every clever save he makes is a save the software should have made. Every late night is the price of a system that says no — so a human has to say yes on its behalf. And it all lives here:

The incident

Then one day, Dave did the unthinkable.

He booked a holiday. Nine days. Portugal. He bought the shirt. He packed the suitcase. He put an out-of-office on — his first since 2019.

The business found out at 5pm on a Friday. What happened next deserved a trailer. So we gave it one.

Now showing

Dave's Holiday. A disaster movie about admin.

A claymation disaster-trailer where Dave tries to take a holiday — and the business will not let him leave. It's a joke. It's also exactly what running on the wrong software feels like.

"He thought he could go to Portugal. The spreadsheet had other plans."

Why Dave matters to us

Dave isn't a mascot. He's the most honest thing we can say about business software.

We didn't invent Dave to be cute. We just described your Tuesday.

Every "we could never do that" in a business isn't the business talking. It's the software — and there's always a Dave paying for it, in overtime and heroics, so the rest of you never see the "no."

Our job is to take the ceiling off — and set Dave free.

We build the operating system a business actually runs on: engineered to fit exactly how you work, delivered as your own branded Universe. When the architecture is yours, the answer stops being "no."

01 — Smile

Meet Dave

We get your attention the honest way: by being funny about something that is very much not.

02 — Hit

That's my business

The joke lands because it's true. The spreadsheets. The one person. The quiet ceiling on everything.

03 — Possible

Now watch

Then we do the serious part: build the platform that makes "we could never do that" happen on a Tuesday.

Resilience model: 1 × Dave · operational

This is not a resilience strategy. It's a bloke called Dave.

After the platform · Super Dave

Do it for Dave.

Give him the platform that does his heroics for him — so he gets to do the job you actually hired him for, and the business runs great while he's on holiday. Nobody gets automated out. Everyone gets set loose.
